34 Things I Am Doing This Year

I am turning 34 and I want to be more proactive with my time. I came up with a list of 34 things I plan on doing before I’m 35.

Here are my goals for the next 365 days.

  1. Get a career I enjoy.
  2. Go to at least 5 concerts.
  3. Switch to an iPhone.
  4. Surprise Marlyse with something at least once per month.
  5. Call family more frequently.
  6. Call friends more frequently.
  7. Go to the dentist twice in one year.
  8. Take photos at least once per week.
  9. Go from beginner to advanced at video editing.
  10. Have a conversation in Spanish.
  11. Learn more Mandarin words and phrases.
  12. Go to the gym at least twice per week.
  13. Ride my bike in NYC at least 10 times this year.
  14. Play a team sport.
  15. Go camping.
  16. Play guitar or bass at least twice per month.
  17. Utilize Groupon for at least 3 events.
  18. Enjoy the movie theater once per month.
  19. Read 10 books.
  20. Go to the library more.
  21. Attend a library event.
  22. Find a new food/meal that I’ve never tried before.
  23. Learn how to poach an egg.
  24. Make 3 blended drinks that I like.
  25. Try caffeine free for a month.
  26. Design 3 new shirts.
  27. Screen print posters.
  28. Finish a 30 day challenge.
  29. Walk through Central Park at least 5 times.
  30. Enjoy walking through NYC at least once per month.
  31. Walk at least 5 bridges with Marlyse.
  32. Explore Staten Island.
  33. Go to Long Beach / Fire Island.
  34. Plan for retirement – IRAs, Life Insurance, the works.

That’s my list, and hopefully I’m sticking to it!
